Day 2 of the Photography 101 challenge, and today’s theme is “Street”. I haven’t spent any time experimenting with time-lapse / nighttime photography and it’s definitely something that I would like to play with more. Sadly, I only had about 10 minutes to get this picture given my schedule today, and taking it in the evening in D.C. meant I was almost run over about 10 times, so it was certainly not the best shooting environment. One of these days I’ll plan better to get some proper late night shots … looking at this (completely untouched) photo I would like to have a longer shutter speed so you can get a better feel for the movements of the cars. Of course, late night there may not be many cars, but what are you going to do.
So, I present, Street. Maryland Avenue NE, Washington, D.C., looking southwest towards the Capitol.
p.s. I took this photo from right outside my apartment building, so technically it could apply to Home too.
Nice shot!
Great shot!
You could just call this photo Home Street or Street View From Home. Cool.
Love it!!
Great shot!
