I am a flying trapeze instructor at Trapeze School New York – Washington, D.C. where I have taught since 2012. Unless otherwise indicated, I teach all-levels classes where beginners / first time students (flyers) are welcome!
My favorite part of teaching flying trapeze is how I get to help students experience and overcome physical, mental and emotional challenges. It is incredibly rewarding to help students increase their confidence, while at the same time building strength and flexibility.
I regularly perform as part of the TSNY-DC staff troupe as well as with Capital City Circus. My proudest accomplishment is performing on the flying trapeze at the White House for President Barack Obama as part of the administration’s 2015 Halloween Celebration.
I am an RYT-200 (one paper away from RYT-500) and I teach vinyasa yoga. While I’m currently taking a break from teaching at yoga studios, I am available for private instruction (and you can occasionally find me subbing a class at VIDA Fitness).
I began practicing yoga more than a decade ago, falling in love with the practice and the healing and fitness benefits it provides. I became a yoga teacher to learn how to share the gift of yoga with others looking to find a sense of balance, relieve stress and anxiety, and heal from any variety of emotional challenges.
As a teacher, I bring an approachable and accessible style to my classes (not to mention a sense of humor due to not taking myself — or yoga — too seriously), while offering challenging sequences to help students of all levels feel empowered and strong. I’m not afraid to kick your butt, or to help you surrender and fully escape from the chaos of life.
