Reunion

On Saturday, we gathered in New York City from near and far (well, far-ish). More than 15 years after saying goodbye for the first time, we came together again — an impromptu college reunion — for an evening of conversation, laughter, and copious amounts of wine.

We left behind the mom jeans, overgrown eyebrows, bodysuits, doc maartens, beer bloat and other travesties of fashion that we so embraced back in our mid-1990s college years. Since that time we have experienced marriages, divorces, children, cancer, brain tumors, suicides, career changes, re-inventions and more highs and lows than we ever could have anticipated back in the day. But you know what? I think we all turned out all right.

There are some people with whom, even after 15 years, you can pick right back up with as though no time had passed. I am lucky to have these beautiful women in my life, and look forward to many more impromptu reunions in the future.
